Northern Lakes Community Mental Health (NLCMH), a public mental health authority based in Traverse City, Michigan, is seeking a CEO. A minimum of 5 years administrative experience in human services, governmental or a health care setting is required. A Master’s degree in Human Services, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university is required. Public mental health work and leadership experience is preferred. Projected salary range $145,000 - $185,000, or negotiable commensurate with experience. QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Psychology, Health Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum five years of administrative experience in a human services, governmental, or health care setting. Preferred candidate will have work experience in public mental health other integrated healthcare organization, a strong commitment to community-based services, and enhancing the lives of persons served.
Other: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to present information in an engaging and understandable manner. Exceptional skills in interpersonal and human relations, facilitation and collaboration, organizational leadership, and critical thinking are desired. Cultural competence and commitment to diversity, excellence, and recovery are highly valued. Must meet acceptable primary source background check.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The CEO is the chief executive and administrative officer and shall execute and administer NLCMH in accordance with the approved annual plan and operating budget, general policy guidelines established by the NLCMH Board of Directors, applicable governmental procedures and policies, Mental Health Code provisions, and existing contracts. As the Board’s sole employee, the CEO shall have the authority and responsibility for supervising all NLCMH employees and operations.
