The Homemaker plays a vital role in providing compassionate and supportive care to individuals in need of assistance within their homes or care facilities. This position requires a dedicated individual who can create a safe, nurturing environment while promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for clients. The Homemaker will engage in various tasks that ensure the well-being of clients, including personal care, household management, and companionship.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.

Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's overall well-being.

Maintain a clean and organized living environment by performing light housekeeping duties including laundry, dusting, and vacuuming.

Administer first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring the safety of clients at all times.

Support individuals with special needs such as autism or memory care requirements through direct support techniques.

Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding the client's needs and progress.

Document daily activities and any changes in the client’s condition or behavior accurately.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home care, group homes, long-term care, or nursing homes is preferred.

Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.

Ability to work with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus.

Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.

Excellent organizational skills to manage household tasks efficiently.

Ability to work independently while demonstrating initiative and responsibility.

High school diploma or equivalent; further education in healthcare or related fields is advantageous but not required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
